The nose of many people wrinkles at the very mention of property development with the imagination wandering to England’s green fields covered in drab housing estates but the reality can be much more uplifting.  Humans need places to work and places to live and these can be created with beauty, reduced environmental impact and an eye to community engagement.

Two examples of projects Marcus was involved by financing and sitting on the Board are: 

THE UK REGIONS: MORECAMBE

A derelict hotel was raised to the ground and this new development of affordable apartments starting at £190,000 was developed in Morecambe, one of the poorest coastal towns in the country.  This greatly added to the sea front and brought fresh life and residents to what is a beautiful town.

CLOSER TO HOME: THE CITY OF LONDON

A secondary office was refurbished to Grade A Space close to Monument Tube Station.  This improves the area, regenerates older buildings and improves their Environmental Performance by energy saving insulation and solar panels on the roof to generate electricity.
